This breathtaking plate is hand-crafted by local Vermont artisan and master glassworker Chris Jeffrey. Rich cobalt blue and gold highlight the Chinese character for peace, ping. This unique plate is made of fused glass, where multiple layers of glass are heated to high temperaures and fused to give the desired effect. In this case, four layers of glass have been fused to highlight this icon of peace. The process of making this glasswork art is labor intensive and uses only the finest materials.

The plate is glass, but it is quite strong and suitable for limited use such as a special platter, sushi plate or as a base for candles. But, it is so handsome you will want to prominently display it for the work of art that it is. This plate will make a perfect heirloom gift for those who cherish both peace and fine art.
